THE HIGHLAND
Legendary Tone Monster
INSPIRATION
Heritage
Following on from the Southland basses, named after my home country, Australia - the Great Southland, the next logical step was to go an octave higher and create an electric guitar. Going up from south, one must go higher. So, paying homage to my Scottish heritage, named after a place of rugged beauty and the legendary Loch Ness monster, I give you the Highland guitar.

THE HIGHLAND
A New Legend
'Nessie' isn't the only Highland legend. It makes sense to equip a unique instrument with a legendary pickup. My personal favourite is the handwound, Australian made P90 Noiseless by Madlove Pickups. Love P90s but hate the hum? We have the answer. Known for their warm, bright tone, P-90s are often described as sounding somewhere between a humbucker and a traditional single coil, but due to their high wind count and single coil format they can be on the noisy side. This is a hum cancelling P90 with all the warmth and character of the single coil versions. Fat, snarly, warm. These are equipped with sand cast Alnico V magnets, poly wire annd are wax potted in their stock form.
Paired with a 25" scale length, this is not your ordinary Fender or Gibson clone.
