THE HIGHLAND
Legendary Tone Monster
INSPIRATION
Heritage
Following on from the Southland basses, named after my home country, Australia - the Great Southland, the next logical step was to go an octave higher and create an electric guitar. Going up from south, one must go higher. So, paying homage to my Scottish heritage, named after a place of rugged beauty and the legendary Loch Ness monster, I give you the Highland guitar.

THE HIGHLAND
A New Legend
'Nessie' isn't the only Highland legend. It makes sense to equip a unique instrument with a legendary pickup. My personal favourite is the EMG 89R - featuring two pickups in one, it houses separate preamps and coils for a custom humbucker and single coil sound at your fingertips. Loaded with Alnico V magnets, the humbucker sound is rich, warm and powerful, but still clear and articulate. The single coil mode, accessed via the included push pull pot, delivers the traditional Strat single coil sound: bright, airy, and chimey. In either mode, the clean sound is gorgeously pristine and has a lot of presence. Paired with a 25" scale length, this is not your ordinary Fender or Gibson clone.
